For most people, it's a good idea to make a Will. It gives you control over who will inherit your property, and who will act as executor and sort everything out when the time comes. Even if you haven't much to leave, that may not always be the case. You can also use a Will to appoint guardians for your children if they're still under 18 when you die, and it's a chance to arrange your affairs so as to minimise inheritance tax. And it isn't final - you can make a new Will at any time if your circumstances change.
Probate and administrationWhen somebody has died, there can be a lot to sort out, whether a Will has been left of not. We'll offer you sympathetic and effective professional help with the administration and distribution of the estate.
DisputesIf there's a dispute about whether a Will is valid, or what it means, or if you feel you've been unfairly treated in the way someone's property has been left, our private client and family lawyers can give you the advice and help you need.
